I think this might be might last post of 2008, so I wanted to go out with a bang! I have mucho mega packing to do tomorrow and then we fly home to Michigan on Christmas day. We have a wonderful 6:30 a.m. flight that I am really looking forward to *wink*.
Today I am wearing the lovely CHANEL Vendetta, which is new for Spring 2009. Ohhhh I am in love with this one. On to the swatches!

CHANEL Vendetta is very similar to CHANEL Blue Satin in the sense that the shimmer is only visible outside in full on sun. It also has a very similar glossy, satiny and deep finish indoors. I think they should have called it Purple Satin or Violet Satin. The first picture of CHANEL Vendetta indoors is very true to life as far as the color goes, even though the shot is a bit blurry for my standards; it also represents the satiny finish very well. CHANEL Blue Satin has been my favorite nail polish for a long time but I think that CHANEL Vendetta *might* take the top spot from it. Maybe a tie. CHANEL Blue Satin is the only nail polish that I have ever bought a backup of. CHANEL Vendetta might be next.

p.s. I apologize for the obnoxious watermark, I tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible. I am just sick of my pictures turning up everywhere on the Internet, being copied without my permission. Someone even had the nerve to post my pics to their Flickr photostream!! Now at least if people copy my pictures they will look like jerks, since they say "DO NOT COPY".

ReplyDeleteI bought one bottle of this wonderfully, amazing color at Saks last week. Went shopping today and I just HAD to go by the Chanel counter, I snapped and bought a backup bottle cause my prediction is that this color is going to fly!!!

ReplyDeleteI got Vendetta last week the day you posted Moscow swatches. I've worn it a couple of times since then and I am so in love with it.
In fact, today when I got to work someone asked what color I was wearing, she thought it was OPI at first :) I am definitely planning on getting a backup and Django looks really nice too.
The girl at the counter when I got Vendetta said that she thought it might become a regular color instead of a limited run, time will tell. It was also really fun to talk about Moscow with them because they had never heard of it hehe ;)

I"m sorry to hear about people stealing your photos...It really sucks, but that's the reality of internet...I remember someone sent me an e-mail telling me that somebody esle is re-posting my articles...What a nerve! They wouldnt even change much about it and used the same pictures...So I totally support your watermark;)

It reminds me of a time an artist friend of mine had a drawing she'd scanned and posted taken by someone who claimed it as their own. When called on it, the other person basically said, "Nuh-UH! It's my original work, because I removed the hair."

scvprincez05 - thanks! I use a crystal file when shaping them and I really just try to file them almost in a straight line, I like them very square. I don't post on You Tube but I might start. I have lots of tips if you look through my archive - look at the tips and tricks tag.
Evil O - this is more of a violet shade of purple and LP is more aubergine/eggplant purple. This looks a little darker too in my opinion. That is lame about your friend.
