New Colors from Nicole by OPI

This is the first of a few posts featuring new colors from Nicole by OPI. It has been a really long time since I have featured Nicole by OPI on my blog; probably because these polishes are not available at the online discount beauty supply stores that I frequently order from. These new colors from Nicole by OPI are available at select Target, Wal-Mart, and other retailers and are definitely worth hunting down. The application is perfect and I absolutely love the brushes. They are much better, in my opinion, than the regular OPI pro-wide brush. Application on all of these was really dreamy.

Nicole by OPI Do Good...Feel Good:

Perfect opaque light pink creme. This swatch is three coats. I love how non-streaky and non-chalky this one is. It dries super glossy. A lot of nail polishes that are similar in color to this are problematic when it comes to the application. This one was perfect!

Nicole by OPI Play Fair:

Gorgeous lavender shimmer. This swatch is three coats. It looks fine with two coats but I prefer the more opaque look of three coats. The shimmer in this color has a wonderful iridescent quaility.

Nicole by OPI Love Your Life over Play Fair:

More cute hearts! I love these pink hearts suspended in iridescent glitter. These hearts were much easier to fish out of the bottle than the Maybelline hearts because the bottle opening is much larger. I did not even need to use a toothpick, the brush worked just fine.

Nicole by OPI No Limits:

Super dark, blackened blue. Very similar to Lippmann Devil in a Blue Dress. This color is more opaque and only takes two coats to achieve bottle color.

Nicole by OPI Dream Maker:

Sheer pink that is loaded with iridescent micro glitter. This color is great worn alone (this swatch is three coats) and would also make an excellent topping for another color, like a deep pink.

Nicole by OPI Keep It Real:

Two photos of this color to show you the wonderful metallic finish it has indoors and then the amazing shimmery glow it has outdoors in the sun. This red really reminds me of the holidays! I can't wait to do a pedi with this color. This swatch is two coats.

I will be featuring more fabulous new colors from Nicole by OPI soon. Check your local Target and Wal-Mart stores for these new colors! They are all all available now.

OPI 2008 Holiday in Toyland Nail Polish Swatches - Darks & Neutrals

Hello, dear readers!

Today I have nail polish swatches of the OPI 2008 Holiday in Toyland collection for you. I am sharing the darks & neutrals today and will have the red shades for you in a few days. I am just waiting on "A Ruby for Rudolph" to complete my collection. When you are done looking at these, make sure you enter my giveaway for your chance to win a bottle of Essie Pama.

OPI You're A Doll!:

Nude-ish, gray-ish pink shimmer with flecks of red glitter. If I had to name a favorite from this collection, I think this would be it. As a reminder, you can click on all of the pictures to make them huge. I think enlarging them really helps to show the detail of the shimmer, glitter, my bad clean up job LOL, etc.

OPI Baby It's "Coal" Outside!:

Gorgeous dark charcoal, almost black, nail color that is loaded with chunky silver glitter. The glitter is smooth, I only say chunky because it is not all the same size. I really like this color but just found it way too cool for my skin tone.

OPI Play 'Til Midnight:

opi play til midnight nail polish
Dark blue loaded with purple shimmer and hot pink glitter. The base of this color is very heavy on the charcoal side which gives this blue an almost "dusty" appearance indoors.

OPI Glamour Game:

opi glamour game nail polish
Gorgeous soft metallic champagne nail color with iridescent glitter. Love this color! I have a Christmas party to go to this weekend and I might wear this one.

OPI Brand New Skates:

opi brand new skates nail polishGray soft metallic shimmer with the same iridescent glitter as Glamour Game. I call both of these shades "soft metallic" because they aren't quite as metallic as other nail colors I've used, which I like, because I did not have huge brush stroke issues with these. Normally a metallic gray like this one would be too cool for me but the iridescent glitter warms it up just enough.

OPI "Sheer" Your Toys:

opi sheer your toys nail polish
Silvery gray nail color that has silver shimmer and flecks of red glitter, the same red glitter in You're A Doll! This is another one of my favorites from this collection.

I think that OPI has a huge winner on their hands with the Holiday in Toyland collection. So many of these dark and neutral shades are very unique and nothing that I have dupes for in my collection, with the exception of Play 'Til Midnight. The OPI Holiday in Toyland collection is available for sale now in stores and online.

That is all for today! Remember to enter the giveaway and I'll see you back here soon. I have some good stuff coming up! Let's just say that Spring is in the air :)

Fabulous Drugstore Find: Sally Hansen Raven's Wing

Hello readers!

As you might have noticed, I don't wear a lot of drug store brand nail polishes. There isn't anything wrong with them, the just aren't on my nail polish radar. But the other day my friend Kelly, over at Vampy Varnish, posted some awesome drug store nail polish swatches. Her swatches inspired me to go search my local drug stores for my own awesome drug store nail polish finds.

Unfortunately for my tips (but fortunately for my wallet), I only found one nail polish that I just had to have: Sally Hansen Raven's Wing.

WOW! When I took Sally Hansen Raven's Wing outside I was so impressed by the bling! This is a black nail polish that is just loaded with small, fine silver glitter and I am pretty sure there is a bit of gold glitter in there too. I have never seen glitter so sparkly, it is almost like the glitter is made of chrome. It was hard to caputre in the photos! For any of you black nail polish lovers, this one is a must. I think Kelly (Vampy Varnish) said that you can never have too many black nail polishes and I agree with her.

I am also curious to see how this compares to Dior Black Sequins but sadly I have not been able to locate it at any of my local Sephora stores (paging Kelly for a comparison swatch).

After my awesome find today, I will definitely be paying more attention to the nail polish when I am at my local drug stores.

That is all I have for you today, dear readers! Hope to see you back here soon.

Happy Halloween!!

Today's Halloween NOTD is Chanel Black Satin, OPI Orange You Glad It's Summer with a little Essie Carnival over the orange nail polish. The OPI polish was a hot streaky mess to apply but it is the only orange I have.
