These new colors from Lippmann Collection SCREAM Spring to me!

Lippmann Collection PYT: Pretty Young Thing:

PYT: Pretty Young Thing is a fabulous coral pink jelly. When I saw this in the bottle I was kind feeling "meh" but I really like it on! Application was perfect and I used it over a ridge filler. My nails are a bit yellow and so when I wear sheer nail colors I really like a ridge filler to help cover the yellow. Trust me, sheer jelly pinks and yellow nails do not play well. This swatch is 3 coats of color over the base coat. PYT is opaque with 3 coats over a ridge filler. If you don't use a ridge filling base coat you might need 4 coats. And seriously, PYT by Michael Jackson is one of my favorite songs ever. Such a good party song! Just the idea that this nail polish makes me think of the song is a good thing.

Next, Lippmann Collection Purple Rain:
Purple rain is a sultry lilac frost. It was designed by Lippmann with the help of designer Zac Posen for use in his Spring 2009 fashion show. When I first saw Purple Rain, I thought it might be dupey for one of the purples in China Glaze's Romantique collection - but it is not. Purple Rain is definitely unique! The formula is a frost and the brush strokes are apparent but they don't bother me one bit. I think they give this nail color a very pretty and soft, almost delicate feel. It is a very feminine color. I usually don't like colors like this but I got so many compliments when I wore it the other day that I just cannot help but like it. 

I am always so excited to see what Lippmann Collection has in store for us so I am a little disappointed that only 2 new colors are being released. Oh well, 2 is better than a big fat zero. I guess we'll just have to take what we can get!

Did you guys know that Lippmann Collection nail polishes contain green tea extracts and protein-building biotin? I did not until doing a little more research on them today. Interesting! I am not aware of any other lines that contain these ingredients.

Super sheer baby pink. It is a bit sheer for my tastes but if I had to go to a "normal" job every day, this is exactly the type of color I would wear. It is very chic and professional looking. 

This set is a perfect stocking stuffer for someone that travels or someone that is new to nail care because it comes with everything you need for a perfect DIY at home manicure (minus a crystal nail file). 

Personally, I was super excited to find this because my boyfriend and I travel frequently and this kit is the perfect size to pack in an overnight bag. Just throw the "Start Me Up" kit, your favorite nail lacquer (if you want something besides Baby Love), and a mini bottle of nail polish remover in your bag and you'll be good to go! I hate traveling with full size products so this kit is a major score in my book.

I swatched this color with both 2 and 3 coats to show you that you can go either dark blue at 2 coats or more black-blue at 3 coats with this color.

The formula and application of these colors was flawless, I did not have any issues with either of these nail polishes.

This dries as fast as my beloved Seche Vite top coat but does not have the same thick consistency that many people find difficult to work with. Lippmann Collection - Limited Edition Holiday Nail Polishes

Hello everyone!

Today I have some lovely swatches for you from the Lippmann Collection. These are limited edition for Holiday 2008. Click on the pictures if you would like to see larger images.

First up, Lippmann Collection Icing on the Cake:

Frosty light pink. This nail color is beautiful, delicate and uber feminine. I do not usually sport light colors on my tips but I will definitely reach for this one when light colors are more appropriate. 

Next, Lippmann Collection Superstar:

Dark brown base that is absolutely loaded with coppery glitter. This color is SO HOT! Something about this color says Thanksgiving to me, and I will be sporting this for the upcoming holiday. 

As always, the application of Lippmann Collection nail polishes are nearly flawless; the formula is perfect. I also just love looking at the Lippmann Collection bottles. They are the prettiest bottles on the market as far as I am concerned! So fancy and pretty, my Lippmann Collection polishes are like little treasures to me.

NOTD: Lippmann Collection Pump Up the Jam

Hello readers!

Today I am sharing with you a fabulous, shimmery, vampy shade for fall and winter: Lippmann Collection Pump Up the Jam. The following swatch is 3 coats of polish, 1 coat of Seche Vite top coat, and in direct sun. This is a very opaque color that only requires two coats but I made a goof and had to use 3 coats to fix my mistake.

This nail color is a aubergine or eggplant shimmer with a black base. This is one of those colors that is almost black indoors and then it is crazy gorgeous, shimmery beautiful outside in the sun. I bring this up because I know that some of you (like me) really like the 'almost black' vampy colors and then others are disappointed when they look black inside. Lippmann Collection Pump Up the Jam is definitely a keeper for me! I will enjoy staring at this on my tips this weekend in the sun. Don't worry, I'll be careful while driving.
