Happy Valentines Day!

I am usually not into nail art, decals, etc., but for holidays I definitely like to do a themed manicure. So for this Valentine's Day, I used L'Oreal Satin Starlit topped with Maybelline Deeply In Love. You'll have to excuse the quality of these pictures. We've been having rain and clouds and so I had to take these indoors by a window.

These little hearts were a real pain to fish out of the bottle! Scrangie just posted though that you can use a toothpick or orange wood stick to fish them out and then place them on your nails. I wish I would have thought of that! It would have made my Valentine's Day manicure much easier. Did any of you do a themed manicure for today?

I hope that all of you have a lovely day and weekend!

  1. I love it!
    I bought that bottle of polish one year and was so frustrated with the hearts because I couldn't get them out.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. I love that! It's so cute on you! I have NO idea what I'm going to do for my mani today, but I really need to figure it out before the BF gets here. I think I may just go with a classic red like E! Live From the Red Carpet. I know it's a little boring and standard, but it's a great color and I know he'll love it.

  3. I also want such cute hearts on my nails. I love the white polish though. I'm going nude today with Nubar's Mystic Romance. My nails started to get yellow now so I have to wear something every day or else they look awful :(

  4. that is soo cute!!! do the hearts stay well?

  5. Loved it- Im not really into decals and stamps either but I just bought Opis Be fine you're mine which also has those cute hearts in it. But they are tricky- I think you managed well though ;-)

  6. The end result is great!

    Today I used E.L.F.'s Coral nail polish. It is cute :)

  7. @Phyrra - I hear ya!! Next time I'm going to try the toothpick trick.

    @Mackenzie - that sounds beautiful and classic! great idea.

    @Sussi - My nails are so yellow too :(

    @Anon - yes they stay well! a bit hard to remove actually.

    @Veronica - yes I just could not resist because these looked so cute in the bottles!

    @Maestra - thank you!

    @Sminkan - thank you!

  8. that's so adorable. i'm getting interested in nail stamping too. i want to try those decorative things.

    today i went to sephora and bought their nail polish fixer pen. it's only $6 and works like a dream! didn't know if u ever tried it but i bet it's just as good as the essie one and less money. just wanted to share that now i can get my nails with a clean edge.

  9. Oh Katee! you are such a sweetheart! Happy Valentine's to you as well! :)
    I have to confess that in the midst of getting ready and buying my guy a little something ( last minute) I didn't get time to do my nails:(
    It's rather shameful , i know
    but I'm loving what you've created with your nails! You are so skillful !

  10. So stinkin cute!!

    Adorable admiration-

  11. Ohhh I want the topcoat!

  12. @Suz - Glad that corrector pen is working for you!!

    @Mimi - I am sure your bf won't even notice that you did not even do your nails. Hope your Valentine's day was great!

    @Heather - thanks!!

    @Suzanne - Isn't it so cute?

  13. I have been lusting after Deeply In Love since I read this post a few days ago. I think I might round up some spare change and get a bottle today.

  14. I love you're valentine day's manicure!! And really enjoy are blog.

  15. I have to ask, where did you snag this polish? I keep checking and I just can't find it (and lost the contest) *sigh*.
    It kicks some major rear end.

  16. I got it at longs drug store in california

  17. love it! i'm going to use this idea! it's fantastic : )
