Today I am sharing with you a color that I was really excited to get my tips on! Why? I have been on a search for a perfect, wearable, brown shimmer. After the most sought after, shall we say "hautest" (you know which one) color of the Holiday 2008 releases left me disappointed with flat, muddy looking tips, Zoya Kalista delivers the most perfect, wearable brown.
Zoya Kalista in the sun:
Zoya Kalista (from the Flourish collection) is a gorgeous mahogany nail color that is so shimmery, so intense and so gorgeous. If you have also been looking for a go-to brown for this upcoming holiday season, get Zoya Kalista. Before you order, make sure you check out my post from this past Saturday for a wonderful November promo code from Art of Beauty, the makers of Zoya.
Have a great day!
xoxo

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI got my Zoya Kalista today! And Richelle and Shivon! Wiiiie! Unfortunately I worked so late today that I haven't got the time to change my polish. I'll have to be in bed in a couple of hours... But tomorrow! Yay!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful!
gorgeous!
ReplyDeleterm - thank you!
ReplyDeleteSminkan -I ordered Richelle to! So excited to try that one. Can't wait to see your swatches!
m - thank you!
Isn't it GREAT!?!? I love Kalista so much! Ok you must tell me, what camera do you use? I am requesting a new one this X-mas form the Hubbie because my Sony Cybershot, which is now two years old, just will not take good close up detailed pics. Your pics are really nice. Do tell! Thanks for the fab swatch!
ReplyDeleteHey VV!!
ReplyDeleteYes I love Kalista. I was disappointed with Haute Chocolat so I was excited when this little baby arrived.
I use a Fuji FinePix A345 that is 4.1 mega pixels. It is my boyfriends camera that I 'stole' from him so I am not sure how current it is if you know what I mean. Do you use the macro mode when you take your pics?
K
Wow mine is more pixels than yours (5.1) but takes way less detailed shots! Yes I am in close up mode when I am taking them. The flash also isn't that great on mine either. Time for an upgrade! :-)
ReplyDeleteI've got this on my toes right now, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHow does this shade compare to Borghese Espresso Brown? In the bottle, EB looks looks just like that, but it changes a bit when applied on the nail.
ReplyDeleteKimmy Darling - I think I am going to use this one for a pedi too. Thanks for looking!
ReplyDeleteK - I unfortunately don't have that color to compare for you.
Kalista is one of the colors I ordered...it's gorgeous! I've actually got Matahari on now...it's an awesome deep rich "antiquey" red...I don't know the best way to describe it...but it looks like it will be perfect for Christmas time!
ReplyDeletethat color is fantastic!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
La C
Jen - you will love Kalista if you haven't tried it yet. What other colors did you order besides those 2? yay I am turning you into a polish addict LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLa C - Thank you!!
GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sanna!
ReplyDeleteI have had a hard time findng a brown that really looks good on me. They seem to make my skin look red when I wear them, and it isn't a good look. I used to have a brown that I LOVED a long time ago. I can't remember the brand name, but the color name was Brownie - that's the reason I bought it. the bonus was that it looked good on me!
ReplyDeleteLovely color~! I had to cut my nails short a couple of days ago, because two of them broke. So now dark colors will look great on them, i guess :)
ReplyDeleteBrooke - I know what you mean about colors that just don't look right on my skin :)
ReplyDeleteLaMimi - yay for short vampies!! It will be okay :)
Thanks for stopping by,
K
I loveeee that color, sister!
ReplyDeleteKatee:
ReplyDeletehave you tried Zoya Anastasia?
If you like bronzy browns, you'll love it.
